6Ft6 X VAMFF Recap

We have officially signed off from VAMFF and are still reeling with excitement from the past week. If only we could relive it all again tomorrow! When a vision that has been worked on for months comes together there is nothing more satisfying and boy, were we proud of the outcome. Thank you to everyone that came out to experience the 6ft6 Wine Garden in The Plaza outside the Royal Exhibition for VAMFF last week.

Every night from 5.30pm The Plaza opened to the public, giving them access to what Melbourne has to offer. There were so many opportunities for photos with Virgin Australia, Mistwood Gin, Westfield Doncaster and ourselves with media walls and different concepts for photo opportunities.

Beginning at 5.30pm Priceline offered free hair and makeup touch ups for attendees, working tirelessly throughout the night appointment after appointment. Everyone who walked out of the spectacular glass installation were glowing (us included)!

With plenty of activities going on there is nothing better than seeing an outfit on the catwalk and being able to add it immediately to your wardrobe. The opportunity is right in front of you with a pop up ‘Shop the Runway’ store right there available to you in The Plaza across the week. What better way than to walk out of the Runway straight into a store offering the exact same outfit ready to take home.

Mr. Miyagi had a pop up restaurant that served customers throughout the night who could choose to either pull up a chair and eat in or take away. Walking passed the pop up restaurant it was constantly buzzing with people. And what better way to wash it down than with a frozen cocktail served from ‘Frankie’ our silver bullet bar!

The 6Ft6 Wine Garden was carefully put together with the brief of pink, neon’s, metallic and greenery drawing influences from the futuristic theme for the 2018 VAMFF campaign. A crowd favourite was our neon pink sign ‘Life is short, drink good wine’ with our Instagram feed blowing up with images of our amazing fashion forward customers. Throughout the week we served our wine range alongside our Frosè and Pinot Gris Mojito frozen wine cocktails. Right as the clock struck closing time of VAMFF for 2018 the last of our FroVino cocktails were poured, emptying our machines topping off an amazing week.

The team behind the success of the VAMFF X 6Ft6 campaign worked tirelessly to bring fashion and wine together in one place for our amazing customers. With special thanks to Laura Harvey Event Stylist, Sketch and Etch Creative for the neons and signage, Entourage Events for the wall and foliage, Smart Grass for the grass, Harry the Hirer for the tables and chairs, Peter Rowland for serving the FroVino cocktails and wine and Elliot Garnaut for being the face of the 6Ft6 Wine Garden for the 2018 VAMFF campaign.

Across the week we had Instagram takeovers from influencers who have been involved with us in previous campaigns and are fans of 6Ft6 wines themselves. Throughout the night they would take our audience behind the scenes of the fashion festival bringing them along for the experience through The Plaza and also into the Royal Exhibition Building onto the Runway to see the spectacular pieces from various designers showcased throughout the week.

We hope you enjoyed the coverage, whether you were there to experience the fun, Frosè and fashion or if you were following our movements on our socials!

To top the week off we are giving the opportunity for one lucky person to WIN Frankie our silver bullet van for a night. For more details head over to our website or to enter go to our Facebook page ‘6Ft6 Wine’ and type ‘Get Started’ into our Messenger.
